Get Tapolia connected.
A verified support email and public status page will be added before store submission. Private beta testers should use the contact path included with their test invitation.
Before you start
- Codex is installed and signed in on your Mac.
- Your phone and Mac are on the same trusted network or approved private network.
- The Tapolia companion is running with a long, private pairing token.
- Do not expose the development HTTP port to the public internet.
Connect your phone
- Open Tapolia Settings.
- Enter the companion address shown by your Mac, including the port.
- Paste the matching pairing token and tap Save and connect.
- After Tapolia shows Connected, add its widget from the iPhone or Android home-screen widget gallery.
“Pairing token was not accepted”
The token on the phone must exactly match the token used to start the companion. Remove accidental spaces and try again. If the companion was restarted with an automatically generated development token, use the new token.
“Could not connect”
Confirm the companion is running, the Mac has not changed networks, and the address is reachable from the phone. On iPhone, allow Local Network access when prompted. Avoid guest Wi-Fi networks that isolate devices.
Threads look out of date
Open Tapolia and pull down to refresh. The home-screen widget keeps a small privacy-minimized cache and refreshes periodically.
Free trial, purchase, or restore problems
Eligible new subscribers receive 7 days free, then pay $2.99/month. Pro unlocks as soon as the store confirms the subscription. If your Apple ID or Google account has already used the introductory offer, the app shows the monthly price before confirmation instead. Use Restore Purchases in Settings while signed into the account that bought Tapolia Pro. Store billing products must be tested through StoreKit, TestFlight, or a Google Play test track.
Cancel the subscription
Manage or cancel Tapolia Pro from your Apple ID Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions settings before the free trial ends to avoid the first charge. Deleting the app alone does not cancel an active subscription. 7 days free, then $2.99/month. Cancel anytime.
What to include in a beta report
Include the phone model, operating-system version, whether the status says Preview or Connected, and the exact visible error. Do not send your pairing token, OpenAI credential, private prompts, or full thread content.
